In Japan, a national qualification for barbering is necessary.
We train at a specialized training facility every day for at least 2 years, after which we take up national exams to get a certificate.
Even after getting certified, we need to train hard and long for about 3 years, training in haircuts and shaving as much as possible, followed by training in customer service. Only then can we finally debut as a stylist.
As such, Japanese barbering skills are in high demand from customers globally.
Our shop has staff of over 10 years of experience and they strive to ensure that you leave the shop with a great cut and pure satisfaction with our service.

Hiroshi Hoshi or better known as John, has 12 years under his belt working for a big Japanese salon. The company is known as Handsome Co. Ltd, where he was a General Manager for the Barber Department.
He extended his experience and talent to Singapore and he has been in Singapore for 10years.
His tenure in Singapore boasts of the following:
- Former Director with Barber Tokyo Pte. Ltd
- Representative Director with John’s Style
- Representative Director with J.U.G Japanese Barbershop
His clientele is always increasing, as his skills are impeccable which leads to his current clients, always referring others to request for an exemplary cut. His clientele ranges from young children to the elderly. This demographic of his, shows that he is well - respected by his clients and they are loyal to him as he is to them.
